Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and helping me raise awareness and funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. Beautiful Aunty Sue, died of cancer 20 years ago, she was 51.She was a great actress, amazingly positive, inspiring sparky and wise; her family and friends and the have missed her so much.
I am riding 330 miles to remember her and to help raise awareness and funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, a world-leading cancer centre that pioneers new treatments to help save lives. It supported the hospital where Sue received her treatment and is one she asked to be supported after she had gone.
By supporting me on this ride you’re investing in a future beyond cancer for you and for everyone you know so we lose less people like Beautiful Auntie Sue -but more than anything I'm cycling over 300 miles which is flipping long way- Its going to be TOUGH!!! and although I do love riding my bike I need all the motivation I can get so please, please sponsor me to do it!
I have never cycled long distance on consecutive days and I have never cycled so far solo! I have done very little training this year due to a tumble off the bike before Christmas, the freezing weather and working a 6 day week so will be training hard to make this happen.
The route I have planned for the big ride will take me from Salisbury through Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon and right down to the south westerly tip of Cornwall. The journey is 330 miles and I will be cycling 21,500 feet uphill with a few downhills in between.
Setting off from home in Salisbury on 24th June 2016 I plan to be arriving in Mousehole, Cornwall on day 4.
Do not worry, you will not be subsidising a cycling holiday as although I am really looking forward to the ride and break , I am paying all my own costs for the ride, stopovers and train journey home so this means ALL your donations will go straight to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
