Story
Like a lot of others, us 3 have been shocked by a fight against Breast Cancer.
On the 14th of January Our close friend Katrina was sat at home with her loved ones enjoying her 27th birthday. This was until she got the call that she would later find out to change her path through life. She was told to head straight to hospital and to bring her mum with her.
At this point she would've had a slight idea what it was about. Her slight idea was then turned into reality which was the worst and most unexpected news for any healthy 27th year old to receive - Breast Cancer.
Katrina is at the beginning of her journey and is documenting her process with the aim to be able to help and inspire others going through the same. As her journey continues, she wishes to raise awareness and educate women to look out for signs and symptoms to give others the best chance of beating this horrible disease.
This is Katrina though, and therefore why we are so inspired. Thinking of others in her worst moments. She continues to laugh, joke and seamlessly stroll through life with her head held high.
Us three (Alfie, Josh and Chris) have been taken back at her strength and determination so think the only thing we can do is try and raise awareness to help her cause.
She has chosen a charity for this fundraiser called CoppaFeel who are the first UK breast cancer charity to create awareness amongst young people, with the aim to install a new healthy habit that could one day save a life.
Do you know that around 150 women get told they have breast cancer a DAY! So, what are us three idiots going to attempt?!
A 150k walk for these women. 50k each from Queens Elizabeth Country Park to her family home in Yapton, West Sussex.
Us three are now in training for this huge task but it's all for a bigger common goal, To KICK CANCERS ARSE.
