Story

Hi,

As most of you will know, my Dad passed away after a sudden illness earlier this year. Murray and I decided to raise some sponsorship to recognise and say thanks to the staff of Ward 16 for the care and attention that my Dad and the rest of the family received. Ward 16 is the Hospice ward at Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline that treats patients with terminal illness.

We have chosen two cycling events and although not races they are timed and quite competitive. We plan to ride the Etape Caledonia (81 miles starting in Pitlochry) on 18 May in 5 hours, and the White Rose Classic (120 miles in the Yorkshire Dales) on 8 June in 8 hours. We rode the White Rose Classic last year and this was the hardest day we had ever had riding a bike!

We don't have a target amount to raise, but every donation will be used to provide a continued high level of care to patients at Ward 16.

Thanks for your donation

Kind Regards

Fraser
