FODAD's 10k for £10k Challenge
Fundraising for Friends of Della and Don
Fundraising for Friends of Della and Don
It's amazing how simple it is to make a difference to someone's life. And that's what the Friends of Della and Don has been doing for over 5 years since Della and Don were in Sri Lanka when the Boxing Day tsunami hit. Since then, this small charity has been changing people's lives in Sri Lanka. You can read more about what we do at the website or catch up with the blog for information about what we achieved on our last visit last February.
Despite the many generous supporters we have, there will come a time when we won't be able to continue the work unless we raise some more money. This would be heartbreaking when you realise that even the smallest amount of money makes a difference - £5 a month will feed a child, provide them with shoes and clothes and enhance their education; £360 will allow us to pay a teacher for a year.
Following the success of the Frampton on Severn 10k run by Gav, Dan, Dan, Beck & Tom, the next challenge is Don and Tess's 10k power walk in the Oxfordshire countryside on Saturday 4th September.
It's amazing to think it's under a year since Don underwent serious surgery so it's no less of a challenge than the run. Supporters of Team FODAD will be there willing them on and it would be a great incentive if you were able to support them by donating to the cause and help us towards raising £10k.
By sponsoring any of us you will be improving someone's life. And you can be safe in the knowledge that every penny raised goes directly to those who need it.
How to give
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
