Story
On October 9th Almighty bass player Floyd London and his wife will join cricketing legend Ian Botham OBE for the 12 mile stretch of his 11th charity walk around the UK!...
When I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia, I was given a 50/50 chance of survival and was told I would have been dead within weeks had I not been to see the doctor! Fortunately, I responded well to the aggressive treatment I had and have been in remission for 2 years now.
Earlier this year my band The Almighty reformed to play 2 charity shows in aid of the Leukaemia Research raising £25,000 and my wife Sophie and I are also Ambassadors for the charity. Getting so much support from friends and fans was totally amazing and it has made me determined to do more!
Please help us with our fundraising by donating to The Almighty Fund at Leukaemia Research today! Any amount that you can give is hugely appreciated.
If you are in Glasgow on October 9th come and lend some vocal support! Beating leukaemia doesn't necessarily make you fit!!
About Ian’s ‘Beefy Bowls Out Teenage Cancer’ walk: This is Ian’s 11th charity walk and he will be walking through 17 UK cities over 9 days to help raise funds to help beat teenage cancer and leukaemia.
More young people die from blood cancers than any other cancer and every day six teenagers and young adults are diagnosed with cancer in the UK.
Donating through this site really easy, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Leukaemia Research Fund will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. You can donate on this page from anywhere in the world!
So please sponsor us now!
Many thanks for your support!
Floyd and Sophie
