Our standard payment methods include credit card or debit cards, PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay, bank transfer, Direct Debit and even Cryptocurrency 

When someone donates, secure payment providers (like banks, card companies, or digital wallets) charge a small fee to process the payment. This fee is automatically deducted from each donation and covers card charges and secure handling, allowing donors to use multiple payment methods. 

• Charity fundraising: 1.9% + 30p per donation 

• Personal fundraising: 2.9% + 35p per donation 

We work hard to keep these fees as low as possible so more of your donation goes to the cause. 

Giving Checkout
Charities using JustGiving benefit from our Giving Checkout service which is a customisable donation form that is completely free to use for direct donations, including regular gifts. When people donate via Giving Checkout, there are no processing fees, and the charity receives 100% of the donation. Click here to learn more.

Contactless giving
Through our partnership with Paya, charities can accept donations via contactless devices. A 5% processing fee applies to each donation to support this feature. 

Text giving  

Charities can also receive donations via text through our partnership with Fonix. Payments made via text giving incur a 5% processing fee per donation to keep this service available.

Yes. Setting up a JustGiving page is completely free. To help keep our platform running, we give donors the option to leave a small, optional voluntary contribution. You never have to; it’s simply a way to support the platform if you’d like. 

You can: 

• Adjust the suggested tip amount using the slider 

• Opt out entirely by selecting ‘Enter custom amount’ and typing 0 or any other preferred amount 

Raising money for a charity 

• You are collecting donations on behalf of a registered charity.  

• We send the funds directly to the charity, so they can use them to support their work and mission. 

Raising money for your own cause 

• You are fundraising for yourself or someone you know, such as covering medical costs, education, emergencies, helping a friend or supporting a local project.  

• The money raised is withdrawn to your bank account after processing fees are deducted. 

Both types of fundraising help change lives – you just pick the one that fits your situation.

Gift Aid is a UK government scheme that allows eligible donors to raise an extra 25p for every £1 they donate by claiming back their equivalent income tax from HMRC.  

JustGiving helps charities process Gift Aid quickly and efficiently as a registered Gift Aid Agent. We handle the admin so charities can focus on what matters most. 

This service is optional and supported by participating charities. When a charity chooses to use our Gift Aid administration service, a 5% administration fee is applied to the Gift Aid we process on their behalf., iIt doesn’t reduce your donation, every penny still goes to your chosen cause. Hear from charities benefitting from this service.
