Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I completed the St Lukes Hospice Midnight Walk in 2009 and although it nearly killed me I'd decided to give it another go in 2011. Click this link for the events details
My plans to train properly were progressing well and I was upto about 6 miles, however I've hit a bump in the road. Following a routine op I have been diagnosed with early stage cancer of the uterus, which means another bigger (!) operation is due to happen in early April.
When I told my daughter, we both went into planning mode and working out what would need to be done and she said ' we need to cancel the walk'
I disagreed though.
I think my experience so far has made me even more determined to keep this important date in the the diary. It will give me something to aim for and keep me looking forward. But also the great work St Lukes Hospice seems even more important to me
So I will certainly be putting my best foot forward, and although I can't promise I'll finish it, I will certainly give it a damn good go!
So please dig deep and donate now.
