Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Dave Johnson and I work at Wheelbase, Staveley. We are both very keen to take part in the Fred Whitton Challenge. The Fred supports some fantastic charities. However, our Fred will be different as we will be riding 'Fat Bikes'. Please don't ask why as we haven't come up with a convincing answer yet. We are not aware of this having been done before so we thought we would take the opportunity to raise money for St Mary's Hospice, Ulverston.

**Please note that due to refusal of the Fred Whitton Steering Group to allow Fat Bikes on the actual day we have brought the ride forward to Monday 25th April. We are very disappointed with the Groups attitude, and this, despite the Fred Whitton Website stating that Mountain Bikes are allowed. **

However this has made us both more determined and we continue to train hard.
