YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE! We are raising funds for Anandpur Eye Hospital in India, which provides many services to help restore health & reduce the effects of poverty. Our next visit to Anandpur is on 24th Dec 07 for 2 weeks. We will be using the funds raised to carry out EYE CAMPS in tribal villages where no healthcare is available. We aim to screen the public and prescribe & provide spectacles where required.

We also aim to use the funds to distribute amongst the poor: Food; (lentils, wheat, oil, sugar & salt), Clothing (esp children, who are often neglected) & Blankets; Buckets & soap for bathing; Basic utensils for cooking; Promote Education by providing uniforms, books & funds to expand the school; Fodder for the Cows (Gaushala) & expansion of this facility if possible.

Funds are also required for Rural Development  programmes being established to sow the seeds of long term solutions for reducing poverty, relieve suffering & improve living conditions.

Donating through this site is simple, fast & totally secure. BHS will receive your money efficiently, & if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

This is one of the poorest areas of India so every donation will be truly appreciated. We will personally ensure your contributions are utilised in the best way possible! Please note that every single penny will go towards the cause and will NOT be used towards personal costs or flights.
