Extreme Dunking · 10 January 2008

The Hospice Trust relies entirely on fundraising and donations to support specialist palliative care services. The hospice has a 12-bedded in-patient unit and 60 day hospice places weekly. Please help us to maintain these vital services to improve quality of life for our patients and their families.

Story

Extreme Dunkers everywhere on the 9th Feb will be able to dunk in the knowledge that they are dunking for something. We are dunking to raise some money for charity!

On National Extreme Dunking Day, anyone can join in as long as they go a step further than a standard biscuit dunk - sitting on the sofa while dunking a biscuit in s. Go here to join the Facebook Dunking Revolution!
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=8484661595 and confirm your attendance! Join the Extreme Dunking group. From here you can see the extreme dunking events and even post your own! How will you dunk on Extreme Dunking Day?

9 brave Extreme Dunkers will attempt to dunk biscuits in their tea in an extreme way while scrambling up a mountain. Tryfan Mountain to be exact.
Tryfan is in Snowdonia, Wales, and is the only mountain on the British mainland to require sustained scrambling on the ascent. PERFECT FOR EXTREME DUNKING!

This sport is so diverse - anyone can do it pretty much anywhere!

No matter what level you are at with regular dunking, you can give Extreme Dunking a try, but please be careful out there! Some Extreme Dunkers may try and dunk while doing a headstand. Some may try and dunk while in a moving vehicle (possibly with a blindfold on). Some may even try and dunk in the dark! Others will do it while scrambling up and down a mountain range.

So when you're dunking on Saturday 9th February, please give a thought for those of us who are living life on the edge. Dunk Extreme!

Extreme Dunking is a sport that goes further than Extreme Tea Making. The tea must be made at the site of extremeness, and must be proper tea made from teabags. It can include milk and sugar if required.
The dunked biscuit can be any of your choice, but we prefer a more sturdy dunking biscuit for ultimate Extreme Dunking such as a Hob Nob or Ginger Nut.

On this page we will link to a facebook group that anyone can join to discuss this wonderful new sport. The ONLY sport that stares danger in the face, slaps it and asks, "cuppa?".

Still to come on this page will be word on biscuit sponsors, along with pictures of Team Dunk and a revolutionary system designed to make tea up a mountain in the cold wind.
