Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Friday 7th October at 1pm, I am going to attempt to to step the height of Mount Everest and K2 (16,459 metres or 57,284 feet for all you aulder folk!) using the Step XT at Think Fitness, which is the most difficult machine to use to go the distance, all within 24 hours!!!
I'm not one for doing half measures so I've chosen something that everyone thinks is crazy, difficult and extreme in the hope that people support me. I've chosen this charity as it is Borders wide and they do a fantastic job for people of all walks of life over the whole region who suffer from that terrible word CANCER I hope you will all support me and give as much as you can. I've been training for this challenge for 3 months now and I feel I will be ready by October I've been on the stepping machine for many hours, when I was training the other day a lady said to me that I must have the firmest arse in Hawick because when she comes into the gym I'm always on that dreaded machine, hope some people can pop in and give there support over the 24 hours especially near the end. I will keep you all posted how the training is going over the next few weeks. I know times are hard at the moment, but It's not as hard as having CANCER so try your hardest to donate, It doesn't matter how much it will still help. Even if you can't donate anything please come in and shout me on, I'm sure I'll need it, to give you an idea of how hard this chellenge will be, I will be burning a week and a half of callories in that 24 hours. I must thank the guys at Thinkfitness for letting me use there equipment free of charge for for the last few months training and for the challenge it's self, thank you Stuart & Greg the owners of the gym.
