UPDATE
On 1st April 2009, I had my transplant operation!!!!
I'm still quite poorly and will have to stay in the intensive care unit for a few more weeks. I'm one of the lucky ones, there are still sooo many people who are still waiting and that is why my family are doing everything they can to raise awareness about organ donation.
I want to say thank you to each and everyone who has donated and shown their support (an extra special thanks to Becky for emptying your piggybank and to all my fellow Man Utd supporters)...thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!
But more than anything, I want to say the biggest thank you to the very brave family who, even though they must have been very sad, gave me my new organs! I promise I will look after them and I will never forget how lucky I am to have them....THANK YOU xxx

Thanks for visiting Ethan's fundraising page!
My name is Ethan Stuart Collins and I was born on the 16th December 2007 in St Mary's hospital Manchester and I have lived in hospital ever since. I have spent one night at home but because I am poorly I have to live in Booth Hall hospital but I also visit Birmingham Children's hospital too because this is where I will have my liver and bowel transplant when they find me a donor!
When I was born, my intestines were outside of my body and I had to have an operation straight away to put them back in my stomach, however, it wasn't that simple and some of the intestine had died and I ended up losing most of it. I can't eat or drink like everyone else so I have to have special medicine called TPN but this had damaged my liver. The doctors say that I won't live very long if I don't get a liver and bowel transplant soon, but I keep surprising them with how strong and brave I am being!
I have been on the TV and in lots of newspapers and because of this I have made sooo many friends on my facebook site and I want to thank everyone for their support, take a look at:

Also, thanks to one of my new friends, Gemma, I have my very own website...how posh am I? Have a look...

To help me raise money, my big cousin Roy decided to run in the Bupa Great Manchester 10k run on Sunday 17th May 2009! At first everyone thought he was very brave and a bit silly too! But now my daddy Stu, my uncle Mike, auntie Vicky and auntie Anna & their friends Nathan & Jamie are also going to run too!
Money can't buy what I need, so instead I would like everyone to help me raise money to donate to LIVE LIFE THEN GIVE LIFE, a charity who work to raise awareness of organ donation with the aim of increasing the numbers of transplants carried out.
If they get lots and lots more donors hopefully they can find me one too!
Please sponsor Ethan's team... it doesn't matter how much you give!
Thanks everyone
Ethan x
