Story
This year I was 50 and decided to set myself a challenge that would terrify me but also give me a huge sense of satisfaction and achievement once I'd completed it. So I have decided to run the London Marathon which takes place on Sunday April 22nd.
Over the past few years I have had a considerable hearing problem and as a consequence I've received a lot of help from the RNID; I have been given the opportunity to run and raise money for them and I am delighted to be able to do so.
My aim is to raise £2,000 and I am hoping you will be able to help me by sponsoring me. You can do this by sending me a cheque made out to the RNID and posting it to my home address: 16 Dovedale Road, Liverpool, L18 1DW or you can donate via this website.
Training for the marathon is proving to be very challenging but I am determined to complete the marathon and knowing that i am raising money for an organisation that has helped me and many others makes it all worthwhile.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: RNID will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support.
