Story
The team (Lee Francis, Lee Rogers, Jamie Evans and Rich Hathway) will be riding Lands End to John O'Groats over 6 days. They will be leaving Lands End early on Sunday 24th March 2013 and arriving in John O'Groats at some point on Friday 29th March 2013. Each day they will be riding a challenging 140 - 160 miles, which will equate to 9 - 10 hours in the saddle. None of them have ever cycled this far before and it's going to be hard, however this is not a cycling holiday, they are doing this to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Cancer impacts on many people's lives and every member of the team knows someone who has experienced it's effects in some way, be that a friend, relative or colleague. The final incentive to do this came when Lee Francis lost his mother to Cancer in April 2012 after a hard-fought 5 year battle. The team are doing this ride to thank the work that Cancer Research UK have done so far; without them Lee's mum's life would probably have been even shorter, and to raise funds to help their ongoing work to find a cure and prevent other people from feeling the effects of this terrible disease.
