Story
Those of you who know me well will know that running of any description really isn't my forté and may well be wondering why on earth I've signed myself up to do the Great North Run 2012! Well, let me tell you..
You may or may not know that for the last 12 months my Dad has been battling bowel cancer and he is my main motivation for donning the lycra shorts and running all the way to South Shields.
Bowel Cancer is the UK's second biggest cancer killer. Yet over 90% of cases could be successfully treated if diagnosed early. Beating Bowel Cancer is a fantastic charity close to my heart that provide information, support and advice for Bowel cancer patients and their families. They also work to raise awareness of symptoms and promote screening programs & early diagnosis.
Every penny really does count towards my fundraising target, I know times are hard so if you could even spare just a couple of pounds I'd really appreciate it & it will help push me towards the finish line!
If you haven't got cash to spare now, you can text give by texting EMZT87 £AMOUNT to 70070 - Eg: EMZT87 £1 - and this will simply be deducted from your next phonebill :). You can donate £1, £2, £3, £4, £5 or £10 via textgiving.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
