Story
This November I will be hiking the sky-scraping mountain passes of the Inca Trail to help raise the £1.5 million needed to build a new cardiac theatre in Great Ormond Street Hospital.
As Cardiac surgery is constantly developing, this new cardiac theatre will aim to provide the flexibility to accommodate future advances in surgical techniques, information management and teaching. The type of procedures performed will range from cardiac transplantation to keyhole surgery.
This will be quite a gruelling 10 day trek with dizzying altitudes and there was also something mentioned about heels not being appropriate...
I would be really grateful for your support - any donations, however small, would be hugely appreciated!
Lots of thanks,
Emily
The legal bit: "I am participating in the GOSH Inca Challenge to raise funds for the benefit of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity. I have guaranteed to raise at least £2,700 (excluding £200 non-refundable registration fee) for the charity, a share of which will be used to pay the costs of my flight and accommodation."
