Thanks for visiting my fundraising page!
Well I thought i'd dust off my legs and start cycling again. I've been so much better with my health lately, I thought I'd celebrate by going on a trip and raising some money for Mind at the same time.
I was originally planning to take part in September 2009, but I needed to have an operation 3 weeks before the event, and another one since, so I have had to postpone the trip to another year. So that's plenty more time to raise plenty more money!
The trip is organised by Mind, and here's the trip itinerary:
Day 1: London to Calais – 95 miles
Day 2: Calais to Abbeville – 75 miles
Day 3: Abbeville to Beavais – 70 miles
Day 4: Beauvais to Paris – 60 miles
Here's how your donation could help those experiencing mental distress:
£5 could help 15 people in need to receive practical advice though Mind's essential information booklets such as "Understanding depression", helping people to cope with their mental health issues.
£9 could change a life. It helps a trained adviser to answer a call to the MindinfoLine, offering much-needed support to someone looking for information and understanding.
£20 will help Mind raise awareness of the new legislation coming into effect and its impact on people who experience mental distress.
£50 could enable Mind to support life-changing projects and services offered to people in their community by our independent local Mind associations.
£100 could go towards the staff and equipment needed to run Mind's Legal Advice line, offering special advice on key legal issues on aspects of mental health and related law.
£200 keeps the Mind
infoLine open for a whole day, ensuring Mind is there for people in mental distress when they really need us.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Mind - The Mental Health Charity gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
