Hello Everyone!

Thank you for visiting our JustGiving page and supporting us on the 3 Peaks Challenge.  It's been 12 months in the planning and we are finally ready, superfit (hmmm?) and raring to go.  The challenge starts on Saturday afternoon 16th June and we're aiming to climb 3 mountains, Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scarfell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales, ALL IN 24 HOURS....plus a little bit more possibly!

As you probably know, Tim and I love the outdoors and are never happier than being out in the wilderness somewhere, trekking up a mountain or wading through bog (Tim!), normally with binonculars in hand.  The 3 Peaks Challenge takes this to the next level and will be the hardest physical challenge we've ever faced.  There's a good pace to set and no stops at tea shops but we're walking with a fantastic team and we're going to give it all the determination we've got to cross the finishing line!

Our chosen charity is South Liverpool Vineyard Church (SLVC) which Tim and I are a part of.  SLVC works in conjunction with various domestic abuse agencies in Liverpool. They help by taking time to paint & decorate rooms for families that may not have the time, money or skills to do it themselves. The work they provide is completely on a voluntary basis and therefore funds are required to buy the materials needed to keep the work going. Domestic abuse is a major issue that sadly exists on a huge scale in Liverpool; we are very passionate about raising awareness and supporting women in particular, who have been subjected to violence. The houses the women are relocated to are often in severe disrepair. So please dig deep folks, we have given our all to this!! As a team we have suffered adverse weather, severe blisters, knee problems and broken bones.  Your support will encourage us on the day and we promise to use it wisely to bless the people we support.
