I am running the Bath Half marathon for Olivia Kershaw, the amazing daughter of Bex and Simon Kershaw. Olivia is just over a year old and is sadly really struggling. She was infected with a parasite before she was born, oh and the chances of this happening are 1:100,000. The parasite caused an inflammation in her brain and eyes. She’s a serious fighter but following three months of intensive care, three brain operations and a long list of other procedures Olivia has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, blindness and other afflictions. 

Twenty of us who have grown up together in and around Bath are therefore running the Bath Half in order to raise money for Helen House, a charity that provides palliative care for terminally ill children and that has really excitingly agreed to host Olivia. Together, the 20 of us will aim to raise an ambitious £21k for such a deserving charity.
