3 Peaks 24 hour Challenge · 6 June 2014

When You Wish Upon a Star has a simple mission: to grant the Wishes of children living with a life threatening illness. Wishes have the power to transform the lives of children and families. Since 1990, we have proudly granted over 19,000 Wishes across the UK. We'd love you to be part of the magic!

Story

East Midlands Airport is organising for two teams of energetic colleagues to take on the formidable Three Peaks Challenge, climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, all within 24 hours. The first team is set to take on the challenge on Friday 6 June 2014 whilst the second team commences their challenge on Friday 27 June 2014.

The challenge is all in aid of When You Wish Upon a Star which is a small charity that aims to grant the ‘wishes’ of children suffering from life threatening illnesses. By granting a ‘wish’, this enables the family to have a truly amazing time, forgetting about the hospital routines, doctors’ appointments and gruelling treatments that have become a daily occurrence, and allowing the whole family to laugh, smile and enjoy life.

We are hoping to raise as much money as possible for this worthwhile cause so that we can really make a difference and support the work that they do.
