Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page to raise money for St John Ambulance.

I became aware of the work they do after I tripped over my brother's leg on the way to a football match and grazed my right elbow and my right knee. When I arrived at the football, they treated me and were very kind and made me feel much better.

My Dad told me about the work of St John Ambulance and the charity's volunteers, and I decided to set myself a challenge to help raise money for them.

I have decided to run 21 miles - the distance between Dover and Calais - before the end of this year, and have set myself a target of £630 or £30 raised for every mile.

Did you know that:

£25 could help a young person save the life of a loved one as St John’s Badger and Cadet groups prepare young people aged seven to 18 to step up in emergencies and save lives.

£50 could help them train or upskill a volunteer to give extra support in the community

£100  could help St John's continue to respond quickly to emergencies. The success of their emergency response is based on St John Ambulance’s robust and well-organised systems behind the scenes – volunteers work as logistics coordinators, communications operators, and call operators. They constantly invest in these people and the kit they need.

Whilst COVID is still a threat to our daily lives, your support could be the difference between a life lost and a life saved.
