Story
Five years ago, 12 of my family and friends ran the London Marathon in a group named 'Running for Ellen'. They were supporting my daughter Ellen who was battling through treatment for a neuroblastoma (www.ellensprogress.blogspot.com). I was unable to run due to the fact that I was pregnant her little brother George (he was born the week before the Marathon). The group made a massive £70,000 which has undoubtedly saved the lives of many young children with Neuroblastoma. This year I will be running the marathon, but this time I am truly delighted to be 'Running with Ellen'. This is not only because Ellen is still alive but because she has been training with me -cycling whilst I run. We are both raising money for CLIC Sargent a fantastic charity that does a huge amount to support families with children going through cancer treatment. Ellen will be doing a few sponsored events too -a sponsored gymnastics event and a cake stall.
