Story
Hi and thanks for taking the time to look at my page.
On the 22nd of January I will be setting off on a 2500 miles journey from Devon to South-East Germany then to the South of France and back Home on my trusty little Honda C90 (the main picture for this page). I will have a top speed of 50mph with the wind behind me so it could be quite a mission.
The purpose of going to is to take part in the Elefantentreffen motorcycle rally in the . The motorcycle rally was started in 1966 for hardened motorcycle riders to test their mettle. Only motorcyclists are allowed to take part and you have to dig though the snow to hard ground in order to pitch your tent.
The rally lasts for 3 days and on the third day I will be leaving for the south of to meet some friends who are skiing and will hopefully have a hot drink waiting and somewhere to sleep that is above freezing J.
For the duration of the trip I will have GPS tracking software enabled on my phone so that anyone who wishes to see where I am, can. My location will be updated every 30 minutes.
Temperatures on the journey will drop to around -15 oC and pitching a tent will not always be practical so I will be sleeping rough sometimes.
I will be updating this page on the run-up to my leaving and details of how to track me will follow
I have had interest from quite a few people willing to donate to charity in aid of this trip, so I have set up this page so that people can donate safely and securely to my chosen charity which is the Devon Air Ambulance
