As part of Oxjam 2012's Homecoming initiative, local musicians will open their doors for a unique series of events over the course of October.
Gigs will take place in a range of locations across Dundee and beyond, in varying formats, and will be announced via social media beforehand. Events will either be streamed online, open to the public or invite only.
Secret gigs are currently being planned in locations including:
a bedroom
a garage
a living room
a kitchen
a bathroom
a lounge
an artist's studio
a garden
a deck
a dining room
a car park
a rooftop
and a church
Artists confirmed to take part so far include: The Mirror Trap, Vladimir, Mass Consensus, Cha Cha Heels, The Twist, Sleepers, Union Chapel, Hookers for Jesus, Billy Mitchell, Seven Sons and Untrust; classical musicians Stephen Lee and Pauline Hynd and audio visual artist [BOX]. Joining us from Edinburgh will be Jack Rowberry.. and, in a special Fife edition, Little Buddha, The Blackbirds and Luna Webster will each host events in their own homes.
Events will be reviewed on Q magazine's special online Oxjam edition.
Donations will be collected at each event. Minimum £1 donation for entry to gigs, which will also be streamed online on a pay per view basis. Please give generously! All profits will go to Oxfam.
