Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

It’s the time of year when I pull on my beaten up running shoes and start pounding the streets in preparation for the torture that is the Great South Run.

I am running for CICRA (Crohn's in Childhood Research Association) again, which as most of you know, is the charity that specialises in funding research into and raising awareness of Crohn’s Disease in Children. This year Leigh, my younger son, is running too and raising money for the same charity.

Neve (Our 14 year old daughter), had another relapse at the beginning of the year, and after a long period on steroids has had her medication changed to Infliximab, which she has to have periodically by infusion in hospital. It appears to be having the desired effect as she is presently pain free.

CICRA is one of the smaller, less well known charities and every penny we raise is vital to their work, and the well-being of young IBD sufferers. So please give generously for this cause which is extremely dear to my and Julie’s hearts.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Thanks,

Simmo, Dorian, Dad.
