We give practical & emotional support to victims and witnesses of crime
Story
Victim
Support Scotland (VSS) is the leading Scottish voluntary organisation helping
anyone affected by crime. Since it was established in 1985, more than one
million victims and witnesses referred by the Police and other agencies have
been supported by our staff and volunteers, who are based in local communities
and city courts around the country. However, as it is widely recognised
that children and young people tend not to report crime, VSS estimates that
today there are thousands of young
victims across Scotland, who feel isolated by the experience of crime.
To give these
vulnerable young people the support they desperately need, VSS would like to develop an online interactive support
service; this is the most effective way of reaching them as young people frequently communicate online. To achieve the first stage of this project, we need to raise £50,000. Please help us reach our goal by hosting or attending a Dine&Donate event. Thank you.
