Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In September I'll be going with Re-Wired to Zambia to help install an IT suite in 5 of schools as part of their work for Mission Direct. One of the suites will also be an internet cafe, helping to generate revenue for the school. As well as installing the suite, Re-Wired supports the school on an ongoing basis, transferring skills to help them maintain their equipment and develop teaching methods.
The schools have been built by other Mission Direct volunteers and the Re-Wired project will be making much better use of my skills than bricklaying (and I think I've done enough of that for the time being!). You can follow what I'm doing with this project on my blog http://dianek99.blogspot.com/.
The project is funded almost entirely by donations that pay for the equipment that we will be installing. Re-Wired also seeks donations of specific equipment in working order - see http://www.missiondirect.org.uk/specialist-trips/it/donate-equipment
If you choose to donate to this project 100% of your contribution will go to the project - I am raising my personal cost of the trip separately with decluttering and selling on Amazon & at bootsales, and with plant sales and maybe jam sales!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Many thanks
Diane
