Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
On Sunday July 1st I will be jumping/walking/crawling off the top of the tallest building in the North.
You may want to know WHY!!
The reason I am doing this is to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Their pioneering Delivering Choice program alone will revolutionise how terminally ill people are cared for in the U.K., and hopefully doubling the number of people who can be cared for in their own homes.
Anyone who has watched their nearest and dearest die of cancer will understand the huge difference this choice can make.
Wouldn't you like to have freedom of choice if you were terminally ill?
However, money is desperately needed for the valuable services that Marie Curie Cancer Care provides for both terminally ill people and their families.
For example:
£20- would pay for a Marie Curie Cancer Care nurse for one hour in the home.
£100- would pay for attendance at a Day Therapy Unit for one day in a Marie Curie Hospice.
£160- pays for a full shift for a Marie Curie nurse in the patients home.
£800- supports a team of scientists for a day at the Marie Curie Research Institute.
£1000- buys a portable oxygen system that will relieve symptoms wherever the patient happens to be, thus not confining them to bed.
The list goes on, and Marie Curie provide these services to the patient for free.
This costs money - Lots of it!!
All of this money comes from people donating and sponsoring people like me to do silly things
That is why I will be jumping/walking/crawling off the top of the tallest building in the North.
Nicknamed 'the Dalek', Bridgewater place is 32 stories high and stands at an impressive 110 metres (360 feet)!!
So please dig deep and sponsor me online.Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Marie Curie Cancer Care will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. So please sponsor me now!I really, really want to jump off the top of a 32 storey building!! Many thanks for your support.
