Story

Ever wondered what it would be like to be part of a team that climbed the highest mountain in the world? Well ok, we’re not actually heading off to theHimalayas. But we are hoping to climb the equivalent height of 29,029’ on Saturday 29th November.

The event, which celebrates ten years of the Derbyshire Police ‘Climbing & Hill Walking Club’, will take place at Wirksworth Leisure Centre indoor climbing wall.

And to make the event all the more worth while, we’re raising much needed funds for Buxton Mountain Rescue Team.

Club members and their friends aim to climb a total of just under 900 routes on the 10m high wall, in under 12 hours.

Further details with a list of those taking part will follow soon.

In the mean time, thanks for your support.
