CLAPA is a support organisation for all those affected by cleft lip and/or palate. One in 700 children are born with this condition. We provide information, advice, and support through our online events led by staff members and volunteers. Facebook groups, and peer and parent support services.

Story

My son charlie was born bilacteral cleft lip and palate septemper 2003 he has had five surgerys so far a lip repair when at 3 months old palate repair at 6 months . Then at the age of five he had to have his palate extended due to speech problems then at the age of 8 he had a bone graft and finally last year after 4 surgerys on palate with have success he has no holes he can drink milk and eat chocolate without it coming down his nose and he also had rhinoplasty on his nose . There is no more surgery until he a young adult he is my inspiration im so proud of him . He is really excited about doing this sponsored walk
