Story
A personal message from David’s friends and colleagues.
David West has been asked at the last minute to join a team to experience the challenge of climbing Kilimanjaro and thought immediately to link it to the Cystic Fibrosis Holiday Fund.
For David, MD of The Probate Bureau, it is much more of a personal matter as he struggles to achieve his goal. Only as recently as last year, did a member of staff at The Probate Bureau lose her husband to Cystic Fibrosis. Sufferers of this life-threatening genetic disease (which affects the lungs, liver, pancreas and intestines, causing progressive disability due to multi-organ failure) fight a daily battle to overcome a lack of oxygen intake. David will undergo a similar feeling to that of Cystic Fibrosis suffers as he gradually gains altitude. David has been quoted that “he will be thinking of Joe Scrivener and his memory as he gasps for air” which is partly the reason for David taking on this challenge.
You can follow David’s climb by visiting the team’s blog at www.climbingkili.co.uk for regular updates and progress reports.
We would really appreciate your support in sponsoring David.
