Well all is going well and my target is getting nearer, three weeks today I will be in France and ready to start my adventure. The support I am getting is truly amazing!! Thank you all so much.

I've been shopping today for some of my equipment that I need. A 50 litre rucksack, new Goretex jacket, sleeping bag and mat, plus a solar panel for charging the phone so you can all track me!!

So great to see so many generous people supporting my challenge. Thank you so much, not even a week in and already have 10% of my target!!!

I am walking an ancient pilgrimage route (The Way of St James) which runs across Northern Spain. The walk starts at St Jean de Pied de Port (France) and I will be finishing a month later in Santiago de Compostela, covering a total of 500 miles, which I will be undertaking un-aided and on my own.

I am walking in memory of a very close friend, who I lost last year and will be raising funds for local cancer charities.
