Sorry it has been so long since I did an update, silly me forgot the password to the page. I did the jump successfully and no problems at all. It was a perfect day and the team at Black Knights were fantastic. I am still taking donations and may do something a little extra over summer to help reach the target. Any ideas will be welcome if you have any.

The One foundation is a great cause who are doing brilliant things even as we speak for children all across Africa, would you like to do your bit to? Below is a brief summary of what it is that the One Foundation do, please if you have the time would you take a look.

The One Foundation is a registered charity that works with communities in developing countries

Did you know that 1 billion people in the world do not have access to clean water? Or that

2 million people die each year as a result of water related diseases?

On hearing those shocking statistics, the team at The One Foundation wanted to do something to

change those figures.

Simply buy a bottle of One water – all profits, every last drop, fund essential water projects, such

as PlayPump water systems, in Asia and Africa

Women and children walk for an average of five hours a day to collect water. They therefore don’t

have time to go to school/ tend crops. They can’t get an education, or learn about HIV and

AIDS.... and so the cycle continues.

The roundabout pumps are called Playpumps – clean and safe water is pumped from deep underground

into storage tanks, simply by the children playing on the roundabout. It is an incredibly sustainable

solution as the ground is tested beforehand to ensure that the water is safe to drink and

that there is sufficient water so the pump won’t dry up – something that often happens in Africa.

Through their amazing efforts, The One Foundation are currently funding one PlayPump every

three days and have raised in the UK over £4 million to date. But they still need more help!

And this is where you come in. I need your support to help raise the funds for clean and safe

water PlayPumps in communities living in extreme poverty. (or could say to to help fund and install

a PlayPump)
