Story
Thank you for taking the time and effort to visit my fundraising page.
I have always wanted to cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats and now that I am semi-retired I have decided to take this opportunity to complete the ride in support of NCH, a charity I have supported in various ways for at least 28 years. The very thought of attempting Lejog in two weeks is scary for me, averaging 70 miles a day can I do it?! However any financial support that you pledge to NCH will really motivate me to complete the ride and I know it will be used very efficiently by NCH to continue their excellent work with children, young people and their families across the whole of the UK.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: NCH, the children's charity gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now and bring a smile to the faces of needy children across the UK!
17th July - Feeling a bit tired after day 6. There have been lots and lots of hills. Have been using lots of Sudocream for a sore bum!
20th July - Half way through now! Had very heavy rain on Friday - got soaked! Coming into Scotland today.
26th July - Last day but cycling 53 miles from Bettyhill to John O'Groats into a strong headwind somehow we make it just in time to enjoy the last of the Champagne and a slice of cake to celebrate.
