Okay so last year I ran the London Marathon for the first time and lots of people seemed chuffed enough for me to want to donate some money to charity. As a consequence I raised £495 for St. Mary's Hospice in Selly Oak, Birmingham. This year I'm once again running the London Marathon and whereas last year I got a place through my running club, Bournville Harriers, this year I got in through the ballot. What that means is that unlike a lot of runners I don't have to collect a big sum for charity to secure my place. Having said that it seems churlish not to allow those who want to sponsor me do so. So once again I'm plumping for St. Mary's Hospice as they do good work and I pass it on one of my regular runs. So give if you want to - anything welcome. I'll be delighted to see some funds head towards the Hospice through my efforts on April 13th. Cheers, Dave Follow my progress by reading my blog and taking a look at my training stats.
