Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Sadly nine years ago i lost my grandad Henry to this horrible desease, my step mum judy has recently gone through chemo and come through the other side. Now my nan Henry has cancer (see pic above) i have done a bike ride for yorkshire cancer research in the past but cycling is some thing i always enjoyed and was fairly good at from the amount i used to do as a child.
This time however, i have decided to do the Bupa Great south run. It is a flat 10 mile run but running is not really my thing. At the moment i'm looking at a finish time of 2 hours but plan on getting under 1h 30mins.
Having relations suffer from this desease has spurred me on to help cancer research uk (although it shouldn't take someone to be ill to help). I have my sights sent on a possible London marothon in the next 2 years if i can get a spot.
UPDATE - since i started this page we have sadly lost my nan to this terrible disease. She passed away in her own bed with her family around her. She will be sadly missed.
UPDATE - 7/10/10. 10 miles is now my longest run and with 2 weeks to go i'm slightly behind schedule. i feel my pace is good but not 100% sure about my stamina.
