Story
UPDATE: the official organised event has been cancelled due to tree-felling operations in the area caused by diseased trees. Unavoidable but there are a lot of disappointed participants. HOWEVER a number of us familiar with the trails there have depicted our own 100km route which will be just as tough and are still going ahead so as not to waste our efforts and sponsorship. All money sponsored will still be received by Macmillan as planned.

"Possibly the best, hardest 50km, 75km & 100km mountain bike challenges in the UK"
In a moment of madness I seem to have signed up for a grueling 100km mountain biking event in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
As many will know I'm far from "physical peak" so this is an especially intimidating challenge which will involve hauling my arse up over 1700m of off-road climbs around some of the UKs toughest mountain bike trails.
The event not only presents a great opportunity for me to attempt to get fit and shed some 'spare tyres' of the non-bike variety, but is also in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support a fantastic charity that has helped many friends and loved ones of mine and yours I'm sure.
So come on, dig deep and help encourage me through this ridiculous challenge I've got myself into!
