Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
I am donning my trainers for Kidney Wales and I need your help!
I will be pounding the roads in this year’s HSBC Cardiff 10K and Cardiff Half-Marathon and the 2009 London Marathon to help raise money to support the charity’s life-saving work.
Right now more than 10,000 people across Wales are affected by some form of kidney failure with more than 450 needing a kidney transplant. My brother Ben has recently gone onto the waiting list and I now realise how much a transplant can transform a person's life. My Uncle Richard underwent a kidney/pancreas transplant last year and is now reaping the benefits.
I wanted to add a special thanks to my work colleague and friend Sarah Bell who has decided to use my page for donations in aid of her taking part in the Llanelli Half Marathon. Kidney charities also hold a special meaning for Sarah and we are both grateful for your support!
You can by making your pledge to support me and also by joining the Organ Donor Register. No matter how big or small your donation, every penny raised really does help.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Kidney Wales Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
