Story

Please help me to help Troop Aid

I served as a soldier for nine years before leaving the Army to stand for election. Now I am joining fellow veterans from Bedworth in jumping out of a perfectly servicable aeroplane on the 6th July in order to raise money for this worthwhile cause.

You don't have to join me or jump out of a plane. But do please sponsor me to help me reach my target. Each Grab Bag costs £25 to put together.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Many thanks

Dan

Who are Troop Aid?

When wounded soldiers return to the United Kingdom from a war zone, they arrive at hospital with no personal effects or clothing - often still wearing the same uniform they were wounded in. Troop Aid supplies a small Grab Bag containing basic essentials for casualties to get them through the first few days in hospital.

Items in the Grab Bag include T-shirt and shorts, washing and shaving kit, towel, face flannel, tooth paste, tooth brush, shower mules, socks, underwear, pen and paper. Female requirements are also provided.

This is a simple and practical way to help soldiers at a time when they are injured and disoriented, and has proven very successful at easing the stress of arriving empty handed at hospital following a long casualty evacuation flight. You can learn more here: http://www.troopaid.info/index.html
