We fund research into type 1 diabetes to find a cure for type 1 diabetes

Story

On February 9th 2009 Dan Kenn passed away while on his gap year at the age of just 20. He was an insulin dependent diabetic.

Dan was an amazing person; incredibly intelligent, a natural sportsman, and a loyal friend. We, his best friends, witnessed exactly how he dealt with diabetes on a daily basis and and have subsequently discovered that 2.6 million people in the UK alone suffer from diabetes.

We decided that it was time to kick ourselves in to action in order to help find a cure, and have chosen to cycle the gruelling 1066 miles from Land's End to John o'Groats in 14 days between the 7th and the 21st of July to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).

JDRF, in it's own words, "exists to find the cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications, and is the world's leading charitable funder for type 1 diabetes research."

We really miss Dan and any donation from you will help to ensure that fewer and fewer people will have to suffer the loss of a loved one.

Thank you in advance for your generosity.
