Dear supporters,

I am attending this year's bike challenge (aka The Big Ride for Africa 2018) coming up in June in support of the charity project Lessons for Life. Joined by over 400 colleagues of Liberty Global (come join us, signing up is still possible!) I will be cycling 320km within two days in the surrounding area of Dublin and together we aim to fund-raise 1.5M euros for Lessons for Life. Lessons for Life is a charity sending children from some of the toughest places in Africa to school, and support stronger teachers and better schools to give children the best possible chance in life using education to create greater opportunities for themselves. 

Having also joined last year’s Big Ride with 200km biked I now realise the challenge I am up against and have upped my target to the longest routes available. On day 1 we will be biking 160km including a gain of 1.190 meters followed by a similar distance on day 2 with 2.226 meters of climbing. I am therefore asking you kindly to support our joint challenge through contributing directly to Lessons for Life via JustGiving (https://www.justgiving.com/cvdlinden) so we can support their ambitions of giving all children direct access to education. My personal target is to raise 3500 euros in support of Lessons for Life and their goals.
