We offer respite & palliative care to children, young people & their families

Story

I'll be swapping cruise ship propellers for pedals on 19 June as I prepare to cycle from to in aid of terminally-ill children.

I'm aiming to cycle 250 miles from central to the in aid of local charity Derian House.

I'm hoping to raise £5,000 for the hospice which gives children a home from home, the best possible medical care, and as much fun and laughter as they can pack into their shortened lives.

Derian House provides specialist care for terminally ill children as well as offering a reassuring framework of emotional support for the parents and family.

The hospice is open 365 days a year, yet as a charity only receives statutory funding for only five weeks.  With more than £1.7 million needed each year, it remains totally reliant on voluntary funding.

Derian House does so much good work that every penny really does count and I hope people will put their hand into their pockets to support us.

Thanks!

James
