Story

Board Member - Yvonne Murray is helping the Lossie 2-3 Group and they urgently need YOUR help…

The Lossiemouth community centre has been home to a children’s 2-3 group for over 30 years, initially set up by Moray Council, Louise McBride took over the 2-3 group in January 2014 renaming it The Lossie 2-3 group. In September 2019, the group became a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) Charity number SC049611.

Due to the relocation of the community centre, The Lossie 2-3 group have been notified that they will not be allocated a space in the new community centre. This news has been devastating for the kids and the community.

The Lossie 2-3 group are now focusing all their efforts on opening up an exciting new facility within Lossiemouth, to help even more families. Along with the new 2-3 group, we want to open a community health and well-being hub as well as a community café.

There was a significant increase in urgently required community work during COVID, as such Louise and her team have highlighted even more of a need for such facility in Lossiemouth.

As a result of the COVID pandemic, the Lossie 2-3 group has not been able to hold any much-needed fundraisers to help secure VITAL new premises.

We need YOUR help to raise much-needed funds to enable us to secure urgent new premises (which have been found),

Your valuable support for this project will ensure we can continue other fundraising activities for other essential parts of the project.

Any funds raised will be used towards securing the premises and any excess will be used for the project.
