Story

Woodham Academy's Thailand Experience is a new initiative, that allows KS4 students to travel across the world into a completely different way of life. Students visit the North of Thailand and explore Bangkok and Chiang Mai, along with other destinations.

An integral part of the experience is a full week volunteering in an Elephant sanctuary, where students will learn to care for the animals. This includes feeding, walking and bathing them.

Students end the experience visiting various historical sites including the Bridge over the River Kwai.

14 students have been selected following a highly competitive application and interview process.

All of the students are required to raise money for the trip as part of a fundraising scheme. Any donations towards the experience will be greatly appreciated and will be split evenly between all students.
