I've raised £500 to support the Mayor Of Havering's Charity Appeal 2017/18 in aid of First Step, Dementia UK and Havering Volunteer Centre

The Mayor Of Havering Cllr Linda Van den Hende will be working with three organisations throughout her term to raise the profile and awareness of what these charities undertake daily in the borough.
She will also be carrying out various fundraisers throughout her mayoral year where all funds raised will be in aid of her chosen charities.
The Mayor is a bit of daredevil and has bravely chosen to become Havering's Wing Walking Wonder at Damyns Hall Aerodrome in September, this is a ticketed event but for anyone wishing to show an extra piece of encouragement they can make donations through this site.
Her three chosen charities for 2017/18 are:
First Step a registered charity, based in Hornchurch, established in 1988. First Step supports babies and children aged 0-5 with special needs and/or disabilities, helping them learn through developmental play.
Dementia UK which is a National Charity which provides the services of Admiral Nurses locally. Havering has a dedicate Admiral Nurse whose current workload is supporting approx. 200 local families.
The Havering Volunteer Centre (HVC) which was formed in October 2015 and from a standing start has achieved a great deal. Their goal is to promote volunteering opportunities that have a positive impact on volunteers, charities and the community by enriching the lives of the volunteers and providing much needed support in the community.
