Story

In December 2019 Laura Setaro, wife of our 1XV player/coach Nico and mum of Lili was diagnosed with breast cancer at the young age of 26! Laura is currently undergoing treatment and we hope very soon that she will be on the road to recovery! Laura has supported Nico and Whitland RFC for a number of years, and now it’s our turn to return that support!!

With the current strain that our National Health Service is under, whilst continuing to provide exceptional care for patients, we thought it only right that we also send a little gratitude their way! I’m sure plenty of us will have at some point spent a little time there due to rugby!

In order to support Laura, CoppaFeel & Hywel Dda Health Charities we as a team of senior players initially decided that we would run/walk 202 miles a day for 7 days! 202 being the combined ages of our club (130) and our National Health Service (72)! But then we thought why do alright at an average challenge when we could smash a big one and double it!! 404 miles a day over 7 days...2828 miles!! That’s more than completing the full Iron man distance over 20 times!!
