Villa Kitty is a charitable organisation dedicated to helping cats and kittens across Bali. Based in Mas, its purpose-built premises are home to more than 600 felines who find sanctuary here from the bustling streets of Bali. Villa Kitty's facilities include: a nursery, where dedicated staff provide around-the-clock care to the many motherless kittens delivered to their doorstep; a quarantine for older kittens and newly arrived cats who have not yet completed their vaccinations; a special needs area for disabled cats with mobility issues, visual impairments and/or neurological disorders; a hospital for kittens fighting panleukopenia, cat flu and other respiratory illnesses; and of course multiple pavilions populated by healthy cats and kittens who are ready for fostering or, better yet, adoption.

Villa Kitty is in the process of building a new clinic and surgical suite where more animals can be diagnosed and treated onsite. For now, much of the clinical work and complex healthcare, such as amputations and enucleations, is performed by Sunset Vet. At any given time Villa Kitty has an outstanding balance owed to the practice - at the time of writing this is close to £2,000. All funds raised will be put towards the bill at Sunset Vet. In the event that the funds raised exceed the bill at the time of withdrawal, all money will be provided to Villa Kitty to put towards future medical expenses.

Cats in Bali have a difficult life: they are not popular pets and the unowned population in particular face a variety of dangers from fast-moving motorbikes and dog attacks to widespread contagious disease. Please give what you can this Christmas to help Villa Kitty provide life-saving care to all they come across.

Donations received by 31st December 2024 will be paid directly to Sunset Vet in Ubud. Donations received after that date will be transferred to Villa Kitty to make payment themselves. Proof of payment will be uploaded to Justgiving once available.
