We would never wish this loss on any one and ask for help during this hardest of times feels so very wrong but we have no option if we are to get our home back and our life to return to normal. Our home caught alight due to a believed electrical fault, I honestly thought I could put it out but it escalated so quickly that I just had to get my rescue animals and myself out to safety. Within half an hour or so our home was destroyed. We have been humbled by friends, family and total strangers kindness. Our local council, Maldon District Council will not rehome us with our furry family and we are not prepared to leave them with strangers we just can't. A very kind lady has lent us her home as a temporary measure but we need to get back home.

I hold my hands up because I want to be honest, I kept pushing getting the house insured off. I lapsed a year or so ago and I feel so stupid but I just never thought this could happen to us, this only happened to other people. To say this has devisated my family is an understatement, we are broken beyond belief. I don't have the words to express the pain we are in.

Any help, however small would go towards making our home safe once again and for us to get back into the home that my family have lived in since 1985.
