Story
Nepal is the poorest country in South Asia with many political, social and economic problems. Our directors have visited the country on numerous occasions; forging a partnership with a charity called MySmallHelp who are committed to providing immediate assistance to people in need whilst getting to know these individuals and working with them to develop a long term sustainable income plan, negating the need for further handouts, thus avoiding a culture of dependency.
The Esland Group financially support orphans who live onsite at the Marybert School in the Kathmandu valley, ensuring they receive care and education. Whilst we are helping and making a difference, the problems in Nepal are unfortunately growing since the April 2015 Earthquake which killed nearly 9,000, injured 22,000 and made millions of people homeless.
Having visited Nepal in September 2015, we have seen first hand the struggle that the Nepalese people are going through.
In November 2017 a member of Hobbit House will be travelling with colleagues from Esland to visit the orphans we support at the MySmallHelp project in Nepal and hand over the funds we raise.
ESLAND employees will lead lessons at the school in Kathmandu they support and spend time with the children, giving an insight into the conditions of looked after children living in Nepal.
Your support, however small is greatly appreciated and will make a real difference. All members of the trip are required to raise £1,500 with a large portion of this being donated directly to the charity and the remainder helping with our travel expenses.
To help the cause:
ESLAND care workers will be cycling 500 miles across England, stopping off at all of our 21 children's homes along the way to raise money for the disadvantaged children and young people in Nepal. We'll be going from our most northern homes in South Yorkshire via Derbyshire, Northampton, Swindon, London and ending on the south east-coast in Kent.
Thanks for your time!

Cobbled stones for 12k have left feet and ankles in bits... 25+ degrees in temperature and carrying our rucksacks at times was unbearable but stage one complete 😊 if you can donate please do, this is all to help the lives of young children in Nepal that are not as fortunate as we are.... Help make a difference #Camino2017 #thebigcycle #mysmallhelp
