Story

I started The Berrie B Foundation (www.theberriebfounation.com) after the loss of my beloved 4 and half year old Sprocker Spaniel, Berrie who sadly passed away on the 28.01.2018 from IMT Immune-mediated thrombocytopenia (her immune system attacked and destroyed her blood platelets).

I had never heard of IMT until Berrie was struck by this cruel disease, I found that this is not as uncommon as you may think. Berrie had suffered from pancreatitis from the age of 2 and the Researchers do believe their is a possible link between the two. I couldn't save Berrie, we tried for 3 and half months but heartbreakingly Berrie's body had become to tired but if I can help save future 'Berrie's', how amazing that would be. So please help me fund this research, even a £1 donation could mean the difference to fund that next 'test', that could be the breakthrough.

The Research is headed by Dr Penny Watson MA, VetMD, CertVR, DSAM, Dip ECVIM, FRCVS and European Specialist in Small Animal Medicine at The Queens Veterinary School Hospital, Cambridge University, Cambridge. I must stress, their is no testing on animals all of the research is carried out at microscopic level.

I have uploaded the images of Berrie's symptoms (bloody stools and the blood that she was violently sick) in the hope that someone recognises the signs their dog is displaying, as literally every minute can mean between your dog surviving.

I have been personally donating to the fund every month but research is expensive. The more money that can be raised, will give more hope to many dog owners
